I believe we can limit the impacts of climate change and make a successful transition to a clean energy future. I invite you to Take Action and Tell Your Story about combating climate change.
~Marcene Mitchell
Hi! I am Marcene Mitchell. I have spent the last 20 years working to find solutions to climate change as an expert in the clean energy transition and sustainable finance. I am currently Senior Vice President for Climate Change at the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Chairman of the Montgomery County Green Bank. At WWF, I lead the organization’s climate agenda to help businesses and individuals reduce their carbon footprint and create a clean, nature-positive economy. I am dedicated to empowering young people and those living in climate impacted areas to bring climate solutions to their communities.
Educating ourselves as to what is possible to combat climate change is the first step in making it happen. Reaching out to young people and communities that traditionally don’t have access to information and finance is key to our success.
Better communication about climate change is crucial if we turn concern about the environment into action that will save lives and billions of dollars for our communities from climate-fueled damage.
